Labor Day Weekend

Petie's flowers
The so-called "last weekend of summer". I honestly can't believe how fast this summer flew by. At least it went out with a wonderful bang: a trip down the Cape to see some of my most favorite girls, good chats by the campfire (the ones that make you feel so lucky to have such amazing friends in your life), a sunny afternoon lounging at the beach, a day with my awesome family, the chance to finally make strawberry bread, some nice long workouts, the Deutsche Bank tournament, and a yum dinner in ctown. I just hope the warm weather doesn't disappear too fast.

I made some okay progress on this bucket list this summer, but there's still more to be done. Here's what I have so far:
  • make this strawberry balsamic flatbread
  • camp outdoors and sleep in a tent
  • kayak on the Charles River
  • girls weekend on Nantucket
  • hike Mt. Monadnock
  • eat lots and lots of s'mores
  • learn to drive a stick shift
  • ride my bike to work
  • go blueberry picking
  • eat with friends on ristorante fiore's roofdeck
  • spend time down in Mattapoisett
  • have a cookout on Duxbury Beach
  • make fresh jam
  • spend a day at the spit
  • throw a pool party
  • canoe the Saco River
  • utilize my $5 ticket Red Sox perk
  • spend as much time outside as possible
  • visit a new ice cream place each week
  • read a good book
  • run 10 miles
  • cape weekend
With sixteen days left of official summer, I definitely think more can be done. Wish me luck!
