To kick off the Spring season, I went to opening day of the Red Sox with my co-worker Dave. It was the first opening day I've ever attended, and the weather was amazing. Dave and I got some really good tickets behind home plate for an expensive (don't hate me too much) 5 bucks. We used our employee discount, a very nice perk to my job, and spent the afternoon sipping on brews at the park. I also managed to watch a teensy bit of the game (I'm sorry, the people watching at Fenway is just TOO GOOD).
After a very classy night at Stats, a group of us jabronies created a talented rendition of the Call Me Maybe music video. This may have only reached 56 views, but Smirti's performance is Grammy worthy. He's breaking out all of his big-time dance moves (Ladies, get in line. He's single!).
While I spent a winter working through lunch, I've taken the time now to enjoy many breezy lunch breaks on the lawn at Harvard Medical School, where I will be heading in the Fall!
......psyche.
Actually, I just spend 30 minutes devouring my Clover Food Labs pita pockets while doing my best to absorb some amount of ultraviolet radiation:
Yum.
I spent Marathon Monday with two of my bests, sweltering at the sox game, then bar hopping throughout the back bay while cheering on the runners. Not going to lie, I was much happier sipping on Towne's white sangria then I would have been running that thing. But serious props to those who did it!
I then underwent the thrill of having my appendix surgically removed! What a fun time that was. At least it gave me a good excuse to drink unlimited peppermint milkshakes, watch tv all day, and receive awesome gifts of flowers and chocolate covered bananas from some loving friends.
I sported some flashy pink golf attire and hit the links a few times with the boys. I'm finally able to hit the ball, but let's just say my putting needs some work :-/. Above is Dougie teeing off on our St. Paddy's Day round.
I spent 10 glorious days in Vieques, a tiny island off the coast of Puerto Rico {more detailed post to follow}. It was so nice to just spend the days snorkeling turquoise waters, reading and napping in the sand, and hanging with my parents...but we missed you T + C!
And most importantly... resigned from my job. Only one month more until a summer with even better days spent by the pool, nights on the town, and very lazy weekends. I can't wait.
