Wanderful Wednesday

Dear District of Columbia,

I'm smitten by you.

You're clean, powerful, and ridiculously fun. You have cabs that allow 5 people, breathtaking buildings, and the ability to make me say "That's Awesome" an abnormal amount of times. I love your cupcakes, Eastern Market, and your statue of Big Lincoln. Most importantly, you are home to one of my bffs, who is taking the capital by storm.

I guess what I'm trying to say is,

I like you. A lot.

On Friday night, I flew with my three gal pals {v power!} to visit Mer in D.C. After a quick (and semi-calm) plane flight we were there, ready to hit the town. We were greeted at Mer's cute apartment with appetizers and cocktails. And a surprise birthday cake. I love it when my birthday continues on for weeks. What can I say? I'm a princess.

I think the votive candles are the best part.

Unfortunately, I don't have the time to go every single detail of our trip on this Wanderful Wednesday. I'm feeling pretty lazy today, sorry for ya. But, I will give you the highlights:
