This weekend was one for the record books. It was out of control, mind boggling, and just utterly INSANE. That is, if you consider wearing your pjs all weekend, drinking tea, and memorizing flash cards 'living on the edge'. Above is a little summary of what my weekend entailed:
1. My Princeton Review MCAT text books. These have been my best friends for the past couple of months. However, unlike my real friends, I can't wait to get rid of these.
2. Notecards. woo.
3. Little Lad's Herbal Popcorn from Whole Foods. This stuff is heaven in a bag. Seriously, run to your nearest Whole Foods and pick this up. Once you open the bag, I guarantee you will have a hard time stopping yourself from sticking your whole head in and devouring the salty goodness. It's amazing.
4. My boyfriend, Dougie. He came to visit on Sunday night and we cooked a gourmet meal of pita bread pizza rollups and baked apples. It was delish!
5. Revolution Tropical Green Tea. If you like green tea, you need to try it. It's fruity and refreshing. I drank this while studying all weekend in order to maintain my "zen".
6. Bunker Hill. Before dinner, Doug and I took a long stroll around Charlestown, exploring bunker hill and the surrounding neighborhoods. The decently warm evening further fueled my spring fever.
7. Snuggly blanket. My attire this weekend consisted of comfty sweatpants, a fleece pullover, and a warm blanket. Very chic.
8. My mac. This was the source of my procrastination all weekend. Although I gave up Facebook for Lent, I managed to find other things to distract me....angry birds, shopbop, ruelala, blogs, expedia, you name it.
9. Blueberry pancakes. Every Sunday morning my father cooks a big, yummy breakfast. This weekend he made blueberry pancakes, chicken sausage, and fresh fruit salad. It was the best thing to wake up to. I was glad to be home!
10. Mae and Petey. I got to spend some quality time with my parents this weekend. As far as parents go, I'm pretty sure mine rank high on the awesome scale.
11. Highlighters. I was glowing yellow after I emerged from my MCAT books this weekend. What would I do without my fluorescent friend?
12. Ugg slippers. My lazy weekend go-to.
13. Trader Joe's Chocolate Power Berries. Healthy without that healthy taste!
14. Dr. Brandt Microdermabrasion. Makes my skin feel smooth and silky. I used this during my numerous bubble baths this weekend.
How was your weekend? While mine was low key, it was super relaxing and I feel extra re-charged this week. Hope you had good Monday!
